A. Messe Esang Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”) collects personal information through ES Membership registration for the purpose of: establishing and fulfilling service-related agreements (such as identifying members and exhibition visitors, confirming their intent), providing information on new services, exhibitions or events, and managing membership (handling complaints, delivering notices, etc.).
B. To provide members with convenient and diverse services, the Company may use the collected personal information to carry out advertising or marketing activities for various notification services it offers. These may be delivered via regular mail, email, SMS, KakaoTalk notifications, service push alerts, etc. If a member does not wish to receive such information, they may decline the service by notifying the exhibition secretariat by phone or by using the opt-out method provided in each notice.
C. Items of Personal Information Collected: The Company collects only the minimum necessary personal information required to provide services. If needed, additional optional information may be requested. The following items are collected as mandatory fields during membership registration. All other information not listed below is considered optional.
Required Items: Phone number (used as ID), email, name, year of birth, gender, residential area, etc.
D. The Company collects personal information only with the consent of the user. It does not collect sensitive information that may infringe on basic rights—such as race, place of origin, political beliefs, criminal records, or health status—unless consent is given or required by law.
E. Personal information may be collected through the following methods:
Company website, telephone, customer service inquiries (phone/email), pre-registration/on-site registration, event entries, affiliate services, mobile applications, or other means.
F. Photos and videos may be taken during the exhibition for promotional and marketing purposes. Users may request the Company to withdraw their consent for such use at any time, either before or after the exhibition.
Retention and Destruction of Personal Information
The Company retains and uses users” personal information only for the period notified and agreed upon. Once the purpose of collection and use has been fulfilled, the information will be destroyed without delay. However, the following information may be retained for the specified periods for the reasons stated below:
A. Retention of Information in Accordance with Relevant Laws
If it is necessary to retain information under applicable laws such as the Commercial Act and the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, etc., the Company will retain member information for the period prescribed by such laws. In this case, the retained information is used only for the specific purpose, and the retention period is as follows:
Service contracts (e.g., exhibition hall or conference room rental): 5 years
In addition, the following records are retained until the end of the designated periods:
Records under the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, etc.
Records on display and advertisements: 6 months
Records on contracts, cancellations, payments, and supply of goods: 5 years
Records on consumer complaints or dispute resolution: 3 years
Books and supporting documents related to all transactions required by the Framework Act on National Taxes: 5 years
Pre-registration/on-site registration data and marketing use for exhibitions: 5 years
Opt-out records for exhibition marketing communications: 10 years
B. Destruction of Personal Information
Once the purpose of collection and use has been achieved, the user”s personal information will be destroyed without delay, except in cases where retention is required by law as noted above. Upon withdrawal of consent, the Company will immediately destroy all personal data except for that which must be retained. If the handling of personal information has been outsourced to a third party, the Company will also instruct the processor to destroy such information.
C. Methods of Destruction
Printed materials containing personal information will be shredded or incinerated.
Electronic files will be permanently deleted using technical methods that prevent data recovery.

Provision and Outsourcing of Personal Information
A. The Company uses users’ personal information only within the scope disclosed in the “Items and Purpose of Collection and Use of Personal Information.” The Company does not use the information beyond this scope nor provide it to third parties without prior consent from the user, except in the following cases:
When the user has given prior consent for disclosure or provision to a third party
When required by law or in response to lawful requests from investigative or regulatory authorities in accordance with legal procedures
B. For the purpose of providing improved and efficient services, the Company may delegate the handling of personal information to third parties.
C. The information provided to these service providers is limited to the minimum necessary to perform the outsourced services.
D. In compliance with relevant laws, the Company enters into contracts with third-party service providers that include provisions for: adherence to privacy laws, confidentiality of personal information, prohibition of further disclosure, liability in case of a breach, duration of delegation, and the return or destruction of personal information upon contract termination. The Company manages and supervises these providers to ensure compliance.
E. In the following case, visitor information may be shared with exhibitors. This information is used solely for introducing the company and its products, and not for any other purposes. Visitors may choose whether to provide this information:
If a visitor allows their badge (barcode) to be scanned by an exhibitor at the exhibition venue, this will be regarded as implied consent to provide their registration details to the exhibitor.
F. Collected information may also be provided to the Korea Exhibition Industry Promotion Association (AKEI), which operates the international exhibition certification system under the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy. The information will be used solely for exhibition validation purposes and not for any other use.

The Company makes every effort to ensure users can safely use its services. Users may report any inquiries or complaints regarding personal data protection to the Personal Information Manager or the department in charge, and the Company will respond promptly and sincerely.
